CoolTops Frequently Asked Questions

Which cookware lines do CoolTops fit?

The current style of CoolTops is specifically designed to fit all of the All-Clad lines including All-Clad Stainless, All-Clad Brushed Stainless, All-Clad Ltd, and All-Clad Copper Core. They also fit Emerilware, specifically the pot lids in the Emeril Pro-Clad, and Emeril Hard Anodized cookware lines.

Can CoolTops be used with other cookware lines?

CoolTops were specifically designed to fit under All-Clad lid handles. While they may fit under the lid handles of other brands, they may not fit as snuggly or cover the edge of the lid handle. Therefore, it is possible they could slip out, or your fingers could touch the edge of the lid handle. We will be developing CoolTops for other leading cookware brands soon.

Can CoolTops go in the oven?

CoolTops are made of oven safe silicone and are heat resistant up to 500 degrees, meaning they will not melt. However, they will get hot in the oven, and therefore, should not be touched.

Can CoolTops go in the dishwasher?

CoolTops can go in the dishwasher; simply leave them inserted in your All-Clad or Emerilware pot lid and put them in the dishwasher.

How do I insert CoolTops under an All-Clad lid handle?

To insert a CoolTop in your pot lid, place your pot lid on a flat surface so that the handle opening is facing you. Place the top of the CoolTop under the pot lid handle at an angle, and using your thumbs, gently slide it underneath the pot handle so it fits snuggly. You can also wet the CoolTop and it will slide in very easily.
