About CoolTops

CoolTops are produced by Chefs Originals, LLC, a San Francisco based women-owned business.

As friends and working moms, we have spent many a night cooking together. We both enjoy hosting dinner parties (when we can find the time) and love our All-Clad cookware.  But, even with stylish pots and pans, the lids get hot.  We found ourselves reaching for bulky oven mitts, dishtowels, even wooden spoons – grabbing whatever was nearby to pick up the lids.  While searching for a solution, we began thinking how nice it would be if there were something really sleek, small and safe - that stayed in place all the time and didn’t clash with the style of our gourmet cookware. So, one night in 2008, over a few of glasses of wine, CoolTops were born.
